Job summary

AbleLight is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in Hopkins, MN. You will support daily living activities, mobility, health, and community participation, empowering residents to live as independently as possible.

Requirements include being 18+, having a valid driver's license with good driving record, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to complete background checks and CPR/First Aid training.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess an active driver’s license in good standing with a clean driving record.
• Willing and able to pass a background check.
• Willing to complete an Adult CPR and First Aid course if not already certified.
• Be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help residents with dining, mobility, health, and hygiene activities.
• Accompany residents while running errands and attend community events.
• Support residents in achieving personal goals and desires.

Direct Support Professionals empower individuals with developmental disabilities to live their most independent lives possible by:

• Helping residents with dining, mobility, health, and hygiene activities
• Accompanying individuals while running errands
• Attending special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events
• Assisting our individuals in achieving their personal goals and desires
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess an active driver’s license that is in good standing with a good driving record.
• Willing and able to pass a background check.
• Willing to complete an Adult CPR and First Aid course (if you have this already, even better).
• Embody patience, kindness, and possess a servant’s heart and hands.
• Be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
