Job summary

AbleLight in St Louis Park, MN is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to empower individuals with developmental disabilities to live their most independent lives. In this role you will assist with dining, mobility, health and hygiene, accompany residents on errands, and join community activities.

Requirements include being 18+, holding a valid driver’s license with a clean record, ability to pass a background check, and willingness to complete CPR and First Aid.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess an active driver’s license in good standing with a clean driving record.
• Willing to pass a background check.
• Willing to complete an CPR and First Aid course (if not already held).
• Be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dining, mobility, health and hygiene activities.
• Accompany individuals while running errands.
• Attend community occasions and activities such as outdoor walks, games and social events.
• Help individuals achieve personal goals and desires.

Direct Support Professionals empower individuals with developmental disabilities to live their most independent lives possible by:

• Helping residents with dining, mobility, health, and hygiene activities
• Accompanying individuals while running errands
• Attending special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events
• Assisting our individuals in achieving their personal goals and desires
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess an active driver’s license that is in good standing with a good driving record.
• Willing and able to pass a background check.
• Willing to complete an Adult CPR and First Aid course (if you have this already, even better).
• Embody patience, kindness, and possess a servant’s heart and hands.
• Be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
