Job summary

InReach seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Charlotte, NC, to provide companionship, care, and support in community living environments. This independent contractor position offers 21 hours per week with a Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday schedule and a $20.35/hour pay rate.

Responsibilities include instruction, helping the individual engage in valued social roles, facilitating community integration, dispensing medications, and transporting to programs and activities.

Qualifications

• All InReach applicants must have a high school diploma (or GED), a valid driver's license, and successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
• One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
• Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
• Facilitate community integration.
• Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
• Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
