Redwood Family Care Network is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Whittier, CA to support individuals with developmental disabilities. The role emphasizes health, safety and advocacy to enhance clients’ quality of life.

Starting wages range from $21 to $29 per hour, with shifts including AM, PM, and NOC, and both full-time and part-time opportunities. Qualified candidates will have a DSP certificate (Year 1/2) and RBT, with additional certifications like First Aid/CPR & CPI preferred.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1/2 within 12 months of hire.
• Must obtain RBT certificate within 12 months of hire.
• First Aid/CPR & CPI preferred or willing to obtain.
• Must be at least 21 years old; California driver’s license; pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting health, safety and well-being.
• Advocate to improve overall quality of life for clients.
• Outline and follow daily routines per Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs and clothing changes.
• Prepare meals and assist with cleanup.
• Transport clients in company vans as needed.

Here\'s What You\'ll Do:

TheDirect Support Professionalsupports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients.

Essential Functions:

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Education and Experience:

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• Registered Behavior Technician Certificate – RBT (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.

• Must be able to lift 30lbs.
• Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
