Redwood Family Care Network in Whittier, CA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to promote health, safety, and well‑being for individuals with developmental disabilities. Join an agency committed to world class person‑centered services and advocacy.

The role requires completing DSP Year 1 & 2 and RBT within 12 months, valid CA driver’s license, background check, and willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR & CPI.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• Registered Behavior Technician Certificate – RBT (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Background check required

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routines (visual and active) per Individual Program Plan
• Assist clients with bathroom needs
• Change clients' undergarments/clothing as needed
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up
• Transport clients in company vans if necessary

Hourly Rate: $21.00 - $29.00/hr. (Depending on Certifications)
Shifts Needed:AM, PM, & NOC
Job Status: Full Time & Part Time

Here's What You'll Do:

TheDirect Support Professionalsupports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients.

Essential Functions:

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Education and Experience:

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• Registered Behavior Technician Certificate – RBT (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.
