Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support individuals with developmental disabilities in Whittier, CA. The role involves promoting health, safety, and well-being, serving as an advocate to improve clients’ quality of life, and assisting with daily routines and care needs.

The position offers both full-time and part-time hours with shifts including AM, PM, and NOC. Certifications and driver’s license are required or obtainable within 12 months; background

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• Registered Behavior Technician Certificate – RBT (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients’ (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients’ undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Job Title: Direct Support Professional

Hourly Rate: $21.00 - $29.00/hr. (Depending on Certifications)
