Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Brentwood, CA. The role focuses on promoting health, safety, and well-being for individuals with developmental disabilities and serving as an advocate to improve quality of life.

Responsibilities include planning daily routines, assisting with personal care, meal prep, and transporting clients when needed. A DSP certificate (Year 1 & 2) is required within 12 months, with First Aid/CPR and CPI preferred.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire).
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain).
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a California Driver’s License.
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including background check.

Hourly Rate: $17.50- $19.00/hr. Depending on Certifications

Here’s What You’ll Do:

The Direct Support Professional supports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients.

Essential Functions:

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).

Education and Experience:

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
