Job summary

Help at Home in Michigan is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist seniors in their homes, helping them follow their plan of care and achieve personal goals within the community.

No prior experience required; starting pay $17/hour with weekly pay, 401K eligibility, healthcare, hazard pay and time off. A valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation are preferred. This role supports independence in Grand Haven and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Caregivers must comply with state background screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with goals in their plan of care.
• Support daily living activities to increase self-sufficiency.
• Facilitate community inclusion and participation.
• Provide in-home and community-based supports (libraries, pools, parks, etc.).
• Follow safety protocols and document interactions as required.
