Job summary

UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Mon Yough in McKeesport, PA, is seeking a Direct Support Professional - Vocational to make a meaningful impact daily. You will support senior adults and individuals with IDD by promoting independence, providing hands-on ADL support, and developing engaging programs tailored to each individual's goals.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, on-site parking, casual dress, and opportunities to help people participate in community and employment

Qualifications

• Compassionate professional with experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs.
• Experience with dementia or geriatric populations is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized support and implement ISP goals.
• Facilitate community, employment, and skill-building activities.

In this rewarding role, you'll support senior adults and individuals with intellectual disabilities by promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and helping them remain active members of their communities. You'll provide hands‑on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLS) while developing and facilitating engaging facility-based and community-based programming tailored to each individual's interests, strengths, and goals. You'll play a key role in teaching life skills, encouraging socialization, fostering community integration, and supporting opportunities for competitive integrated employment.

Key Information:

• Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8a-330p (Working Lunch)
• Location: 230 5th Avenue, McKeesport
• Parking: Lot on site for a minimal fee
• Dress Code: Casual
