Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to help people with disabilities learn, work and enjoy their communities. Based in person-supported homes, you will assist with daily activities and advocate for independence.

Shifts include Friday 4 PM–7 PM, Saturday 8 AM–1 PM and Sunday 11 AM–1 PM. Starting wage is $15/hour with a weekend shift premium; health and life insurance, a 403(b), PTO, and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities.
• Assist with meal preparation.
• Support personal hygiene.
• Administer medications as directed.
• Encourage community involvement with individuals.
• Support therapeutic and behavioral plans with clinical staff.
