Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support people with disabilities in their homes and communities. The starting wage is $15 per hour with tenure pay, weekend shift premium, health insurance, company-paid life and long-term disability insurance, and a 403(b) retirement plan with PTO.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities (meals, personal hygiene).
• Assist with medication administration.
• Support individuals in community activities and outings.
• Assist with therapy and behavioral plans under clinical staff guidance.
• Promote safety, dignity and independence in daily living.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone’s life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
