Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to help people with disabilities live, learn, and participate in their communities. DSPs work in person-supported homes providing daily caregiving, meal preparation, personal hygiene support, and medication administration under clinical supervision.

We offer a starting wage of $15 per hour, tenure pay scale, annual performance bonus, and a $1 shift premium on Saturdays and Sundays from 9a–9p, plus health

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community.
• Support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
