Job summary

YAI is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Ozone Park to work closely with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role includes assisting individuals with daily living and supporting them in achieving personal goals.

Candidates should have strong communication skills and the ability to work in various settings while maintaining a focus on health and safety. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $19.06 per hour based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to meet essential physical demands of position.
• Must hold or obtain and maintain SCIP-R within one year of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Assists individuals in maximizing their strengths and interests.

• Maintains a clean and safe therapeutic environment.

Skills

Effective written and oral communication skills
