Job summary

Penn‑Mar is seeking a dedicated caregiver to provide personal care and daily living assistance at client homes in New Freedom, PA. Responsibilities include meal prep, light housekeeping, and coordinating transportation to medical appointments in a compassionate, respectful manner.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license with clean driving record, and the ability to pass background and health screenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License with 2 years driving experience and <3 moving violations within 36 months.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, physical, TB, and drug screenings.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as needed.

Responsibilities

• Light housework: cooking, meal prep, cleaning.
• Maintenance of personal care/hygiene routines: feeding, medication administration, bathing, showering, toileting.
• Providing transportation to and from doctor’s appointments, outside activities and excursions.
• Behavioral and social support (including managing potential outbursts/aggressiveness).
