Job summary

Penn-Mar Human Services is seeking a Senior Direct Support Professional to join our on-site team in Parkton, MD. The role focuses on direct care, transportation, and daily living support for individuals with disabilities.

The position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Competitive starting pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with 2 years of driving experience and <3 moving violations in 36 months.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background/physical/TB/drug).
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs as needed.
• Direct support/caregiving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Light housework such as cooking, meal prep, and cleaning.
• Assist with personal care/hygiene routines including feeding and bathing.
• Provide transportation to appointments and activities.
• Deliver behavioral and social support, manage occasional outbursts.
• Occasional sleepover shifts and supervision of a residential home.
• Assist Residential Supervisor with assigned duties.
