Job summary

New Purpose is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and communities. You will assist with daily living, personal care, life skills, and community engagement to promote independence and dignity.

What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional, you will:

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care
• Support personal goals, independence, and life skill development
• Encourage participation in community and social activities
• Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support
• Help with meals, housekeeping, and maintaining a safe environment
• Support medication routines and healthcare appointments as directed
• Complete daily documentation and follow support plans
• Protect the rights, dignity, and well-being of those served while following agency policies
