Job summary

New Purpose is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and communities. You will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and help clients achieve personal goals.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to pass required background screenings and training requirements.

Position Summary

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role assists individuals with daily living activities, personal care needs, community engagement, and skill development while promoting independence, dignity, safety, and choice.

  • Protect the rights, dignity, and well-being of those served while following agency policies

Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass required background screenings and training requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with mobility needs as required
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
