Job summary

Merakey seeks Direct Support Professionals for a program in Pemberton, NJ. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, housekeeping, and coaching residents toward greater independence.

No experience is required as paid training is provided; the ideal candidate has a heart for service and a desire to mentor individuals to reach personal goals.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 1 year experience with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
• NADD DSP Certification training within first year.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care.
• Encourage independence and support with housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to individuals to reach goals.
• Follow supervisory guidance and safety procedures.

Shift: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 12a-8a

Pay Rate: 19.13 per/hr

No experience required - we provide PAID training.

Our ideal DSP candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their individuals lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals . Be a part of fostering a true sense of pride in your individual by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry. Your work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager who reviews results through living area observation of activities in progress, residents responsiveness, inspection of living area, reports, and periodic meetings. Make a difference in the life of those you work with to enhance their independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
