Job summary

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our program in NJ. No experience required—we provide PAID training and offer pay rates of $19.13/hr or $21.13/hr with Enhanced Pay.

As a DSP, you will follow the Individuals Support Plan, assist with daily living activities, and foster independence in the individuals you serve, in settings like parks, gardens, and community spaces while building social and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• 1 year experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
• Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred.
• NADD DSP Certification training within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Individuals Support Plan to assist with daily living activities such as personal care, housekeeping, and laundry.
• Encourage, mentor, and coach individuals to achieve their goals and build independent living skills.
• Provide support in varied settings to create positive experiences and meaningful daily routines.

Education

High School Diploma or GED
