Job summary

Merakey seeks Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Trenton, NJ program. No prior experience required—we provide PAID training and a supportive team environment.

Pay rate: $18.13/hr or $20.13/hr with Enhanced Pay. The DSP will assist residents with daily activities, coaching, and fostering independence under House Manager supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• 1 year experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
• Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred.
• NADD DSP Certification training within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities and routines.
• Support resident independence and safe living environment.
• Follow house manager guidance and document observations.

Be a part of fostering a true sense of pride in your individual by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry. Your work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager who reviews results through living area observation of activities in progress, residents’ responsiveness, inspection of living area, reports, and periodic meetings.
