Job summary

Merakey in Deptford, NJ is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team. The role focuses on assisting residents with daily living activities, supporting independence, and promoting growth. No prior experience is required as paid training is provided.

You will work with individuals with developmental disabilities under supervision of the House Manager, helping with activities such as housekeeping and daily routines, to foster independence and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School diploma/G.E.D. required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 1 year experience with people with developmental disabilities.
• Dual Diagnosis experience preferred.
• NADD DSP Certification training within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, housekeeping, and laundry.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to help individuals reach goals.
• Supervise under the House Manager and document observations.
• Ensure safety and adhere to procedures.

Pay Rate: 19.13 per/hr

Schedule:Saturday 12a-8a and Sunday 8a-4p

Our ideal DSP candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their individuals lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals . Be a part of fostering a true sense of pride in your individual by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry. Your work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager who reviews results through living area observation of activities in progress, residents’ responsiveness, inspection of living area, reports, and periodic meetings. Make a difference in the life of those you work with to enhance their independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
