Job summary

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our program in New Castle, DE. The role involves providing day-to-day support for individuals with developmental disabilities and helping them navigate daily living activities under supervision.

Schedule includes Thursday and Friday 3p-11p, Saturday 11a-11p. No prior experience required as paid training is provided; we value a compassionate, empowering approach to improve residents' independence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care under supervision.
• Support and mentor individuals to achieve goals and improve independence.
• Work under the House Manager's guidance and participate in progress reviews and observations.

Your work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager who reviews results through living area observation of activities in progress, residents' responsiveness, inspection of living area, reports, and periodic meetings. Make a difference in the life of those you work with to enhance their independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
