YKHC Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation seeks a dedicated direct support professional to assist individuals with developmental disabilities, coordinating village-based services and helping access resources.

You will work with the Traditional Council to ensure safety, well-being, and self-sufficiency, meeting regularly with individuals and families to address challenges and connect them with available supports in rural southwest Alaska.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; an AA degree preferred.
• Experience in special education, child/family health and development, counseling or community development preferred but not required.
• Minimum one year of experience; two years with increased responsibility desirable.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct support services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Coordinate village-based services and assist access to resources.
• Meet regularly with individuals and families to address self-sufficiency and safety.
