Lifetime Assistance, Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professional – Residential in Rochester, NY. This full-time, on-site role supports individuals with developmental disabilities, 40 hours/week with a night shift schedule.

Starting wage is $21.55/hour, with a $0.50 overnight differential bringing it to $22.05/hour. Benefits include health coverage, education support, and training opportunities. The role emphasizes compassionate care, documentation in the Electronic Health Record, and collaboration

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; dependable, friendly, caring, and trustworthy.
• Must meet Vehicle Operator requirements (except overnight/relief shifts).
• First Aid/CPR, SCIP-R, and Medication Administration certification (or ability to obtain).
• Pass all required background checks and clearances (SCR, Fingerprinting, SEL, MHL).
• Ability to follow individualized plans and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care with activities of daily living (hygiene, grooming, dressing, meals).
• Help individuals develop independence, self-help and social skills.
• Ensure health and safety; administer medications if certified.
• Implement and document progress on individualized service plans and supports.
• Encourage community integration and participation in social/recreational activities.
• Drive agency vehicles for transportation as needed.
• Maintain positive, professional communication with individuals, families, and colleagues.
• Complete required training, certifications, and ongoing professional development.
