Job summary

Supportive Concepts for Families in Harrisburg, PA, is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Residential Specialist to provide person-centered care in a residential setting. No experience required; paid training provided; immediate openings.

You will assist with daily living, personal care, meals, and community activities, support independence, document progress, and work as part of a compassionate team dedicated to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide hands-on support and physical assistance when needed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when necessary.
• Supporting daily living skills and independence.
• Helping individuals participate in community activities, appointments, and social events.
• Providing companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.
• Following individualized support plans and goals.
