Supportive Concepts for Families is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in the Lehigh Valley area to provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

No experience required; paid training provided and immediate openings. The role emphasizes compassionate, person-centered care, independence, and community participation, with a strong focus on dignity and support.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old
Valid Driver's License required
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to provide hands-on support and physical assistance when needed
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
Your responsibilities may include:
Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when necessary
Supporting daily living skills and independence
Helping individuals participate in community activities, appointments, and social events
Providing companionship, encouragement, and emotional support
Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment
Following individualized support plans and goals
Promoting dignity, respect, and person-centered care
