Job summary

Youth Consultation Service (YCS) in Sicklerville, NJ, is seeking a Direct Support Professional (Residential Assistant) to supervise and support youth aged 17–21 in a transitional residential setting. The role includes leading structured routines, coordinating with the care team, and documenting progress.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a related social service field, willingness to enroll in an MSW program for growth, and at least 3 years of youth experience in behavioral or group

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in a related social service field (Psychology, Sociology, Education, Public Health etc.), Psychology preferred.
• Preference to enroll in an MSW program to achieve growth within the agency.
• 3 years or more experience working with youth in a behavioral or group setting.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, organize, and support recreational and/or socialization activities.
• Lead the milieu staff through youth’s structured routine while collaborating with youth’s case manager, clinician, and prescriber.
• Engage and interact with youth based on behavioral intervention plans.
• Observe, document, and acknowledge positive behaviors.

Description

Sicklerville PCH is a transitional residential facility for young men ages 17-21.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Supervise, organize, and support recreational and/or socialization activities
• Play an active role in leading the milieu staff through youth’s structured routine while collaborating with youth’s case manager, clinician, and prescriber
• Engage and interact with youth based on behavioral intervention plans
• Observing, documenting, and acknowledging positive behaviors
• Perform all other duties as assigned
