Job summary

Youth Consultation Service’s Estell Manor program seeks a Direct Support Professional to support a 13-17 residential population. The role offers flexible days and hours, with full-time, part-time, or on-call shifts available within our NJ facility.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, collaborating with case managers and clinicians, documenting behaviors, and supporting youths according to behavioral intervention plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a related social service field (Psychology, Sociology, Education, Public Health etc.), Psychology preferred.
• Preference for enrolling in an MSW program to grow within the agency.
• High school diploma requires 3 years or more experience working with youth in a behavioral or group setting.

Description

Estell Manor is a short-term residential facility for boys and girls ages 13-17.

We are seeking flexible days and hours for our program.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Supervise, organize, and support recreational and/or socialization activities
• Play an active role in leading the milieu staff through youth's structured routine while collaborating with youth's case manager, clinician, and prescriber
• Engage and interact with youth based on behavioral intervention plans
• Observing, documenting, and acknowledging positive behaviors
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor level degree in a related social service field (Psychology, Sociology, Education, Public Health etc.), Psychology preferred. Preference to those interested in enrolling in an MSW program, to achieve growth within the agency.

High school diploma requires 3 years or more experience working with youth in a behavioral or group setting.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Schedule: Weekdays or Weekends Full time/Part time or On-Call shifts

Estell Manor is a program of Youth Consultation Service (YCS), which is a behavioral health and social services agency that has been caring for at risk children and families since 1918 in therapeutic residences, special education schools, in-home and in-community programs throughout NJ.
