Merakey is hiring Caregivers and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our program in Redding, CA. If you’ve ever wanted to be a caregiver, this is your chance as we are hiring immediately and offering meaningful work with individuals who need support.

Earn $17.50 per hour, with a $2 per hour night shift differential for overnight work. The position involves personal care, daily living assistance, light housekeeping, meal prep, and companionship in clients’ homes or community settings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• A valid driver’s license is required
• Preferred: Experience with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) including personal hygiene, grooming, bathing
• Prior experience in caregiving/home health aide roles encouraged

Job Description

• Provide the personal care and support to clients who live in the home
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal hygiene needs including toileting and incontinence care, bathing, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining dignity and privacy.
• Light housekeeping, meal preparation and feeding, and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and attending day program

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) interact and support our individuals with development disabilities in a variety of potential settings including community, family or individual homes and generic community settings. We provide a level of care that enhances the health, safety, dignity and contentment of every consumer served by assisting and training individuals in the areas of personal care, communication, and social skill development.This position provides direct support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities with co-occurring medical support needs in a residential setting.
