Job summary

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our program in NJ. No experience required—we provide paid training and immediate opportunities to start making a difference.

Pay rate starts at $18.13/hr or $20.13/hr with Enhanced Pay. Our DSPs help individuals with daily living activities and social/communication goals in diverse settings, fostering independence and pride in their progress.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• 1 year experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
• Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred.
• NADD DSP Certification training within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities per the Individual Support Plan.
• Provide personal care, housekeeping, and laundry support.
• Encourage, mentor, and coach individuals to achieve goals.
• Foster independence and help navigate daily living activities in various settings.

By following the Individuals Support Plan, you can enjoy your days at the park and sensory gardens, while working on social and communication skills. Be a part of fostering a true sense of pride and fostering independence in your individual by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as personal care, housekeeping and laundry.
