Job summary

Rock Creek Foundation is seeking a Direct Support Professional PRN to provide compassionate, flexible support to adults with IDD in a dynamic community setting in Silver Spring, MD. You will assist with daily living activities, medication reminders, documentation, and safety in a home-like environment.

The role offers an hourly rate of $20.00–$21.00 and requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work on an as‑needed schedule.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and caring nature with strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication, both with participants and staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Background checks and FBI fingerprinting may be required.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily engagement and support to adults with IDD in program activities and community integration.
• Provide direct care and support to individuals with IDD, ensuring safety and well‑being.
• Foster positive relationships and maintain a safe home environment.
• Assist with daily living activities, medication reminders, and documentation.
• Plan meals, assist with personal care, and accompany participants to appointments.
• Lead group activities and support meaningful community participation.
• Maintain progress notes, incident reports, and daily logs for each participant.
• Promote self‑determination and person‑centered practices.
