Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide individualized support to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role emphasizes mentorship, advocacy, and life coaching to foster independence and meaningful participation in social, recreational, educational, and vocational activities.

You will drive and accompany patients in the community, helping them achieve short-term and long-term personal goals while ensuring safety and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/FA certification required.
• NCI Training certification preferred.
• TB screening completed or able to pass.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
• May transport clients to and from community activities.
• Support individuals in achieving developmental goals and independence.
• Encourage community participation and accompany individuals on outings.
• Document observations and progress on specific goals and ensure client safety.

Skills
