Job summary

ACCESS in Cabot, Arkansas seeks a Part-Time Caregiver / Direct Support Professional to help individuals with disabilities live more independently in their homes and communities. No prior DSP experience is required; training will be provided before working directly with clients.

You will assist with daily living activities, support skill development, and participate in community activities while promoting safety and empowerment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 18 years’ old.
  • No prior direct support experience is required; two full days of training and orientation are provided, with one day of training client-specific.

Part-Time Caregiver / Direct Support Professional

ACCESS is hiring a compassionate and dependable Caregiver / Direct Support Professional in Cabot. A Direct Support Professional, often called a DSP, provides hands-on support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and communities.

In this role, you will help individuals build independence, develop important life skills, participate in activities, and work toward personal goals. No previous direct support experience is required. ACCESS will provide the training you need before you begin working directly with a client.

What You Will Do
As a Caregiver / Direct Support Professional, you may:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Ability to satisfactorily perform each essential job duty listed
  • No specific experience is required; however, the employee must complete two full days of training and orientation prior to working directly with any client, with one day of training being client specific

Travel Requirements
Moderate travel is required for this position; this travel includes transporting students/clients.
