Job summary

Beacon Light Behavioral Health System is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a part-time role in Bradford, PA, to support residents on the Girls in Recovery Learning Strengths (GIRLS) Unit.

The DSP will help ensure safety, implement treatment plans, assist with daily living activities, use positive behavior supports, and document care. The GIRLS Unit serves female youths aged 13–18 with mental health needs in a joint-commission accredited residential program.

Position Summary

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, implementing individualized treatment plans, supporting activities of daily living, utilizing positive behavior supports, assisting with medication administration (when certified), maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary treatment team to promote recovery, independence, and successful reintegration into home and community settings. The Girls in Recovery Learning Strengths (GIRLS) Unit is a joint-commission accredited residential program for female youth ages 13 through 18 who have a mental health diagnosis and are in need of intensive treatment communities.
