Job summary

ViaQuest is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and homes around Reynoldsburg, OH. Training is provided in full, and no prior experience is required. Earn $17.25–$18.25 per hour with full-time benefits and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities include direct care, supervision, and assisting with daily tasks to promote independence and safety. Transportation by personal vehicle may be needed.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Fewer than 6 points in the last three years on your motor vehicle record.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
