Job summary

ViaQuest is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Columbus, OH and surrounding areas. Training is provided, so no experience is required. The role offers $17.25-$18.25 per hour and shifts across multiple schedules.

Responsibilities include direct care, supervision and teaching to promote independence, and assisting with daily tasks and a safe living environment. Applicants must be 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, and a valid Ohio driver’s license with car insurance.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Fewer than 6 points in the last three years on your motor vehicle record.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities - our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
