Job summary

Gallagher Services - a Catholic Charities program in Lutherville Timonium, MD is seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP). You will support individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on independence, daily activities, and meaningful engagement.

The schedule is Saturdays and Sundays 3 PM - 11 PM, with emphasis on dignity and person-centered care. You will build trusted relationships, advocate for rights, and help participants pursue their goals while maintaining clear

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points.
• Comfortable driving agency vehicles and assisting people who use wheelchairs.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for long periods, and provide physical assistance when needed.
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)

Responsibilities

• Provide full support with daily routines such as total hygiene care, cooking, cleaning, laundry, housekeeping, transporting to and from day programs, Drs. appointments and medication administration, etc.

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who values people for who they are and is excited to walk alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they engage in the activities they love and pursue their goals.

Work Schedule: Saturday and Sunday 3 PM - 11 PM

How You’ll Support:

• Provide full support with daily routines such astotal hygiene care, cooking, cleaning laundry housekeeping, transporting to and from dayprogramsDrs. Appointments and medicationadministrationetc.
• Be patient and respectful in action and speaking
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build their confidence and sense of self
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support

Minimum Requirements:
