Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help adults with developmental disabilities live meaningful, independent lives. You’ll build trusting relationships, assist with daily activities, and support choices and goals in a compassionate, trauma-informed setting.

Work schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7 AM to 7 PM. The role involves driving agency vehicles, assisting with personal care, meals, and community outings, while ensuring safety and dignity for

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points.
• Comfortable driving agency vehicles and assisting people who use wheelchairs.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for long periods, and provide physical assistance when needed.
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and personal care in a way that promotes dignity, independence, and choice.
• Assist with meals of their choice, encourage healthy eating, and maintain a clean, comfortable kitchen environment—while promoting independence and personal preferences.
• Be patient and respectful in action and speaking.
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build their confidence and sense of self.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support

PAY RANGE: $19.50 - $20.50 per hour (Depending on years of experience)

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who values people for who they are and is excited to walk alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they engage in the activities they love and pursue their goals.

Work Schedule:

Saturday and Sunday 7 AM - 7 PM
