Job summary

Residential Options in Belleville, IL is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist residents with daily living skills and medication administration in a residential setting. You will help residents learn new skills and participate in daily activities to turn houses into homes.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 21+ with a valid driver’s license, background checks, and CPI/CPR training. Training is provided within the first 4 months and annually thereafter.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license
• Ability to use a computer
• Must pass CASAS literacy assessment prior to employment
• CPR, First Aid, CPI training provided within first 4 months and annually

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise, and assist Residents with ADLs and daily living tasks
• Assist with bathing, hygiene, and toileting as needed
• Administer medications and monitor safety in the living environment
• Document services, progress, and incidents in Resident files
• Communicate concerns to the Residential Site Manager and participate in staffing meetings
