Job summary

Residential Options in Belleville, IL is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help residents learn daily living skills and turn houses into homes. The DSP provides ADL support, supervises activities, assists with hygiene, meals, and medication administration, and adheres to individualized plans.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a clean background, and the ability to pass required literacy assessments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Must pass state required CASAS 8th grade literacy assessment prior to employment.
• CPR, 1st Aid and CPI training provided within the first 4 months and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise, and assist Residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and help with cleaning, laundry, cooking, and medication administration.
• Assist Residents with bathing, hygiene, and toileting and maintain a safe living environment.
• Provide active treatment services per each Resident’s plan and as assigned by the Residential Site Manager (RSM).
• Ensure adherence to daily activity schedules and document services, progress, behaviors, and incidents.
