Job summary

Bristol Adult Resource Center (BARC) is a non-profit organization supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing Residential, Vocational, Recreation and Day Support Services. We seek professional, caring Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals in our Residential Group Home Program and help them achieve personal goals daily.

Applicants with no experience are encouraged to apply as we provide training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide opportunities for learning new skills and independence by working on individuals’ goals and plans.
• Transport individuals to and from programs and activities.
• Administer medications and treatments meeting all guidelines with accurate documentation.
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment where individuals are treated with dignity and respect and are protected from abuse or neglect.
• Electronically record daily activities while maintaining confidentiality and complying with policies to protect identity and health information.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications and trainings (in person and online).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
