Job summary

Bristol Adult Resource Center (BARC) is a non-profit organization supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing residential, vocational, recreation and day services. We are seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals in our Residential Group Home Program and make a meaningful difference every day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least age 18.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide opportunities for learning new skills and independence by working on individuals’ goals and plans.
• Transport individual to and from programs and activities.
• Administer medications and treatments meeting all guidelines and accurate documentation.
• Provide safe and nurturing environment where Individuals are treated with dignity, respect, can exercise their rights and responsibilities and are protected from abuse or neglect.
• Electronically record daily activities maintaining confidentiality and complying with all policies and procedures to protect the identity, medical, HIPPA information.
• Obtain and maintain all required certifications and trainings (in person and online).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
