Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals through person-centered care. This part-time overnight role emphasizes building relationships, guiding daily living, and promoting independence in a supportive group home setting.

You’ll document care, participate in training, and collaborate with a positive, mission-driven team. The position offers scheduling flexibility and the chance to make a real impact every day.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or formal education required.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to pass a DHS background check.
• Caregivers, PCAs, homemakers welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance, encouragement, and support.
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene, meals, and transportation.
• Support community involvement and independent living skills.
• Advocate for people’s rights, needs, and preferences.
• Monitor health and report changes as needed.
• Complete documentation and participate in training and team meetings.
• Residential group home setting supporting up to 4 people with identified needs.
• Collaborate with a mission-driven team focused on dignity and inclusion.
