Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Orangevale, CA. This in-person role supports individuals with developmental disabilities to improve quality of life, safety, independence, and advocacy.
Full-time position with comprehensive benefits; a background check is required. Applicants should have a High School diploma and caregiving experience, plus a CA driver’s license and CPT/First Aid-CPR readiness.

As a DSP, you will support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving the highest possible quality of life. You will promote their safety, well-being, independence, and personal goals while serving as their advocate.
Follow and support daily routines according to each client’s Individual Program Plan (IPP)
Participate in developing and supporting IPP/ISP goals
Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe living environment
Facilitate social, recreational, and community activities
Assist with personal care (grooming, toileting, dressing, hygiene)
Prepare meals and assist with clean-up
Transport clients using company vehicles as needed
Report incidents and communicate daily with administrators
Perform other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of personal or professional caregiving experience
Preferred: experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health needs
DSP Certificate (Year 1 & 2) and CPI training
Preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire
First Aid/CPR
Preferred or willing to obtain within 30 days
Must be at least 21 years old
Valid California Driver’s License
Must pass all pre‑employment screenings
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
