Job summary

WINDSOR WOODS in Baltimore, MD is looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with developmental disabilities. The role involves helping with personal hygiene, mobility, and promoting independence in daily activities.

Ideal candidates will have previous DSP experience, a high school diploma or GED, and must possess a valid driver’s license. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 6 PM to 10 PM.

Job Summary

We are seeking a capable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support our wonderful individuals with developmental disabilities and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing
• Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises
• Promote independence in daily activities, such as work, learning, and leisure
• Facilitate the individual's inclusion in the community’s experiences and activities
• Maintain knowledge of the individual's requirements
• Comply with the Agency’s policies and procedures
• Maintain documentation in compliance with the Agency’s procedures
• Perform additional duties upon request

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a DSP or similar role
• High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
• CPR and first aid certification
• Completion of the provided Agency training
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and valid vehicle insurance as specified by the MD
• Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand proactively and physically support the individual
• Capable of using necessary apps on your personal cell phone
• Compassionate, respectful, ethical
• Must have a reliable car and be dependable in commuting
• Must be able to work all advertised hours (Monday – Friday, 6 PM – 10 PM)
