Community Access Services is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Salem, Oregon. The role offers $21.75–$22.75 per hour with a $1,000 hiring bonus and paid training to develop the necessary skills for supporting individuals with IDD.

You'll provide person‑centered care, assist with daily living activities, and help clients build independence and community connections. CAS emphasizes meaningful work and supportive leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license required for all day-shift and swing-shift positions.
• Ability to pass a national background check.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility.
• Willingness to complete required training and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Daily Living Support: assist with personal care, hygiene, dressing, meals, and household tasks.
• Community Engagement: support participation in recreational activities and outings.
• Independence and Life Skills: help individuals build practical skills and confidence.
• Person‑Centered Support: encourage self-advocacy and informed choice.
• Medication Support: assist with medications per training and procedures.
• Documentation and Communication: accurately record services and report changes.
• Team Collaboration: work with coworkers, families, and support networks.
• Respect and Confidentiality: maintain professional boundaries.
