Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS) is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Ada, MN. Full-time shifts 7:00am–7:00pm and part-time evening shifts 3:00pm–8:00pm.

Starting pay is $16.00/hr with a potential raise to $16.50/hr after six months, plus a $2,500 hiring bonus. Responsibilities include building relationships, assisting with daily living activities, supporting community involvement, advocating for rights, monitoring health, and completing documentation.

Qualifications

• Caregiving or PCA background welcome; training provided.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.
• Able to pass a DHS background check.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance, encouragement, and support.
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene needs, meals, household support/cleaning, and transportation.
• Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills.
• Advocate for people with identified needs’ rights, needs, and preferences.
• Monitor health and well-being and report changes as needed.
• Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings.
• Residential group home setting supporting up to 4 people with identified needs.
• Collaborative, mission-driven team focused on dignity, respect, and inclusion.
