Job summary

WellLife Network seeks a Direct Support Professional in New York to provide hands-on care and advocacy for adults with developmental disabilities, promoting independence and community engagement.

You will assist with daily living, health needs, transportation, and communication, while collaborating with healthcare teams and documenting progress. A High School Diploma, fluent English, and a NY driver’s license are required. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Fluent in English for client communication.
• A NY State Driver’s License with at least 2 years of driving experience is required for driving positions.
• Comfort operating a large vehicle for driving positions.
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care & Daily Living Support including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Health & Wellness including administering medications and attending medical appointments.
• Mobility & Accessibility including walking, transfers, and mobility aids.
