Job summary

In Good Company Care and Supports is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide home- and community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across New Jersey. We offer both full-time and part-time positions with comprehensive training and ongoing supervision.

As a DSP you will assist with daily living activities, accompany individuals to appointments and community activities, and follow care plans.

Qualifications

Experience with individuals with IDD preferred, but training is provided.
Patient, compassionate and dependable.
Strong communication skills and good judgment.
Comfortable with personal care tasks.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Ability to pass background checks and complete DDD-mandated training (CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, etc.).
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals in homes and communities.
Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and meal prep.
Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings.
Follow individualized care and behavior support plans as directed.
Administer medication as trained and authorized where applicable.
Document services provided accurately per NJ DDD requirements.
Communicate with families, care teams, and agency staff regarding needs and progress.
Maintain a safe, respectful, person-centered environment at all times.
