Job summary

In Good Company Care and Supports is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide hands-on support to individuals with IDs in their homes and communities across New Jersey. The DSP will assist with daily living tasks, personal care, meals, and household activities, while following care plans.

Qualifications

Experience with individuals with IDD preferred, but training provided.
Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
Strong communication skills and good judgment.
Comfortable with personal care tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to pass background checks and complete training (CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, etc.).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals in homes and communities.
Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meals, and household tasks.
Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings.
Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans as directed.
Administer medication as trained and authorized (where applicable).
Document services provided accurately and in accordance with NJ DDD requirements.
Communicate regularly with families, care team members, and agency staff regarding the individual's needs and progress.
Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment at all times.
